Keto - Day 5

So, Day 5 has been rough!

I woke up today with what I believe to be the Keto Flu I was warned about.

I did not want to move, my body hurt, and I was hot then cold.

I was a bit worried as I did not want to take any time off. I am fortunate to have a job that I enjoy.

So, what did I do?

When I tell you, don't judge me...LOL

I ate a ham sandwich and two donuts and was feeling MUCH better in minutes.

I am not giving up on Keto but I may have gone too hard, too fast??

How did you get over the Keto Flu, while staying functional?

Advice needed. #pleaseandthankyou

Keto - Day 4

Today is a good day.

I will admit, however, that I need to work on my shopping and prepping.

This morning I had not given thought to breakfast until I was ready to head to work.

I put a few slices of turkey bacon in the microwave and grabbed a string cheese.

I drank a lot of water today. I also had a cup of hot ginger tea and in the afternoon I had a sparkling water that was cherry limeade flavor. It had no sugar.

For lunch, I went to Red Lobster with two of my favorite co-workers and for the first time I didn’t eat the cheddar biscuits :)

I had a Cesar salad with no croutons and dressing on the side. I ate most of it without touching the dressing. For my entree, I had grilled chicken, shrimp, and broccoli.

Later in the afternoon I had a snack sized pack of Smokehouse almonds and another string cheese.

I am once again not hungry for dinner but will eat some vegetables and drink water.

Any advice?

Keto - Day 3

Day 3 has gone well.

This morning I had turkey bacon and mini sweet peppers.

A few hours later I had veggies and hummus for a snack.
It was cucumbers, sliced peppers, carrots, and tomatoes.

For lunch I had a cup of tortilla soup (minus the tortilla strips), a 6oz sirloin and green beans.

I had two glasses of iced tea with a splash of raspberry flavor.
I also drank a ton of water.

I haven’t eaten anything since lunch because I don’t have an appetite.

Is that normal?

Keto - Day 2

So far, so great on Day 2.

I greatly appreciate all of the amazing advice and encouragement.

One challenge I know I will need to overcome is consistency.

This morning I went my first 3 hours without eating or drinking anything.

I didn't do this on purpose. It took that long for me to even realize.

Any recommendations on what to eat or drink in the morning?


So far, today, I have only had water to drink.

I had a keto friendly salad for lunch from Salad&Go.

I had a string cheese for a snack.

For dinner, I plan to have leftover chicken breast and cauliflower mash.

Keto - Day 1

This will be my accountability journal.

I welcome advice and positive feedback.

My goal is simple - Get healthy.

I have seen Keto transform the lives of many of my friends.

Who has advice for me on my first day?

I will update this post later with everything I ate today.



Update:

Today I only drank water all day.
I had Activia this morning.

I also had a bag of frozen brussel sprouts.
I had a string cheese as a snack.
I also had a bowl of Raisin Bran with almond milk.

About to have baked chicken and cauliflower mash for dinner.

I had a hard time figuring out what to eat and not eat.
Are there any free or low cost Keto meal plans out there?
